Easy Breather Side Sleeper Pillow Review – Made for Your Sleep Position?

[music] Sarah: Hey, guys, it’s Sarah from Sleepopolis. Today, I’ll be reviewing the Easy Breather
Side Sleeper pillow from Nest Bedding. If you haven’t already figured it out, this
pillow is uniquely designed to support side sleepers. Since I happen to be a side sleeper, I’m especially
excited to test it out. Let’s get started. [music] Sarah: The cover fabric of this pillow is
made from an eco-friendly cotton alternative called Tencel, which is super soft, absorbent,
and cooling. A zipper spans the side of this pillow, allowing
sleepers to reach in and adjust the loft to their liking. This pillow is filled with shredded memory
foam, which is known for its moldability and slow response to pressure. It’s built with two sides that are thicker
with higher loft and one middle section that’s a bit thinner and softer. This way, side sleepers can comfortably roll
from side to side without losing any support. The entire structure of this pillow is designed
for side sleepers who need a little help in maintaining healthy posture throughout the
night. We know this pillow was built for side sleepers,
but I have a sneaking suspicion there’s more going on here. There’s only one way to find out. Let’s take a look. OK, I’ve started in the intended position,
which is the lateral position, and right away I can see why this is called the side sleeper. The higher loft of this side is really perfectly
keeping my head, spine, neck, everything in perfect alignment. I feel very comfortable in this position. I can feel the memory foam gently contouring
to my head. This shape here makes it really easy to hold
onto. This is definitely a good position for this
pillow. Let’s see how it is on my back. OK, as I expected, this has actually got pretty
good potential for back sleeping. It’s adjustable. I would probably reach in and remove a little
bit of the loft. I’m on the shorter side. Right now, it’s just a little too lofty for
me in the middle. My head isn’t completely in alignment with
my neck. Still very comfortable. The Tencel is so soft against my skin, and
the memory foam really nicely conforms to my head. Let’s try it on my stomach. Not so sure about this pillow for this position. Like I said, luckily, it’s adjustable. I bet if you reached in and removed a considerable
amount of the filling, you could even it out, make it flat and thin enough to be suitable
for stomach sleepers. As it is right now, I don’t really think this
pillow was intended for that position. Let’s try it as an in-between-the-leg pillow. I would say this pillow is not the best for
an in-between-the-leg pillow. It’s thinner where it needs to be thicker
for this position. My leg is just sinking right in. It’s not really supporting my hips in any
way, so maybe not an in-between-the-leg pillow. Overall, though, I have to say this has great
back sleeper potential and maybe even good potential for sleeping on your stomach. Ultimately, this is a great pillow for folks
who sleep in the lateral position. There’s a lot to like about this pillow, especially
if you’re a side sleeper. Firstly, it’s designed in a boomerang shape,
where the sides are a bit thicker and the middle is thinner and softer. This way, sleepers can comfortably roll from
side to side without losing any support. Secondly, this pillow is filled with shredded
memory foam, which offers a nice, slow response to pressure. Sleepers who really like to sink into their
pillow should really give this one a try. When I say try, I mean Nest Bedding lets you
try this pillow for 100 days before you have to make any tough decisions. If you don’t like it, send it on back for
a full refund. Talk about pressure relief. A few drawbacks to this pillow. Firstly, as is often the case with new memory
foam products, there’s a bit of a chemical smell to this pillow at first. Don’t worry. In my experience, it dissipates after a few
nights. Speaking of smell, unfortunately, this pillow
is not machine washable. It must be spot cleaned with a damp cloth
and mild detergent and then left to air-dry. Something I don’t love about this pillow is
that, because of its shape, you can’t dress it with a pillow case. The Tencel fabric is super soft, so you don’t
really need one, but it’s nice to have the option. To read my full written review on the Easy

  1. I'm split between this pillow, Layla's pillow, or Bear's cooling side sleeping pillow. Which one is the heaviest? I'm a heavy guy too, so with weight factoring in…which, one would be for heavier people?

  2. I want this pillow but with it not fitting in a pillow case AND not being washable I'm very certain it would cause my face to break out over time as it gets dirty… Which sucks cause it's prefect for me.
