Decoupage Tutorial On Fabric Lamp ~ check our tips to remove stickiness

I will be using 2 different rice paper from Calambour Botanical Collection DGR 305 & DGR 308 I clipped them with paper clip to see the arrangement Since the rice paper itself already nice we don’t need to have a busy background I am using Stamperia Stencil Fern Leaves to create a very subtle background I will be mixing Deco Art So Soft Fabric Paint Green advocado and white pearl Deco Art So Soft Fabric Paint will not wash away in water. It’s permanent The best way to apply So Soft Paint on Fabric Is by using Ranger Ink Blending Tool While waiting for my stenciled fabric to dry I will show how to decoupage on fabric Use Fabric Decoupage Glue and apply on media surface On some area that will be over lapped. It is a good idea to Gesso the back of rice paper so it will look bright Here’s a trick to remove the stickiness from Fabric Decoupage Glue After about one hour of gluing we will iron it. But use baking paper in between the iron and the lamp Use iron in low heat setting After the gesso on the rice paper dry we can glue to the lamp Don’t forget to iron after the glue half way dry If you wait too long the glue will become sticky Beside ironing them will push out the air bubble underneath the paper I am using White Acrylic Paint to create shadow and dimension on the rice paper Here’s another idea to create a sprakly accent Use Deco Art Twinkle Writer. I am using Crystal to add some sparkle Just press and follow the lines of the petals I am going to give the edges a bit of Sky Color Americana multi surface satin paint in crystal water You can also use Faber Castell Pitt Artist Pen in White to draw highlights Thank you for watching the video
